Assistant Project Manager
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Reports To: Project Manager / CEO

Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) plays a critical role in supporting projects through all phases of execution. This position ensures projects remain on schedule, within budget, and consistent with design intent and client expectations. The APM collaborates closely with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients while developing the skill set to advance into a full Project Manager role within two years.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Support planning and execution of projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Assist in developing detailed project schedules, budgets, and tracking tools.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
Document and Quality Management
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for technical accuracy and compliance.
Maintain organized project documentation including RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
Help ensure design intent, budget, and scope alignment across all phases of the project.
Quality & Safety Oversight
Review and verify submittals, material selections, and design revisions.
Participate in site visits to support quality control and verify installation standards.
Promote and uphold safety protocols to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Client & Vendor Relations
Communicate proactively with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure clear expectations and timely resolution of issues.
Foster productive relationships that support client satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Continuous Improvement & Professional Growth
Identify opportunities to improve processes and integrate technology to enhance efficiency and communication.
Learn and apply project management principles in cost control, contract administration, and business development.

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
Candidates with trade backgrounds and supervisory or management experience are encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of submittals, change orders, and construction documentation processes.
Proficiency in project management software and tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to project sites across Hawaii.
Work Environment
Combination of office and field-based work.
Regular travel required to active project sites throughout Hawaii.
